Biobased innovations and Drug Discovery
We are happy to announce that the annual KNCV-SOC Autumn Symposium 2025 will be organized in collaboration with the HAN University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Arnhem en Nijmegen). The symposium will take place Friday 21 November in 2025 Nijmegen. With the HAN performing exciting research in ‘biobased innovations’ and ‘drug discovery’, we decided to have a symposium which highlights both research lines with speakers from industry and research institutions.
The speakers we confirmed for this year’s edition are:
Patrick Beusker (Byondis) - Medicinal & Protein Chemistry
Koen Dechering (Tropiq) – Drug Discovery
Mark van Eldijk (Ardena) – Nanomedicine
Sanne de Smit (Wageningen University) – Microbial Electrosynthesis
Tim den Hartog (Hogeschool Zuyd) – Sustainable chemistry
Karin Struijs or Piret Saar (HAN University of Applied Sciences) – Biobased Innovations
Besides our invited speakers, there will also be an additional four short presentations by students. The exact program (running from around 09.00 to 16.00) with titles and times will be communicated shortly.
We hope to welcome you to this exciting event. Registration for the symposium is open and is free of charge.
